“Today I painted the biggest bear that ever was”

At Fifty24SF Gallery, San Francisco, the drawings of Ericailcane are on show. Titled, “We were living in the woods”, the exhibition is a selection of Erica’s scaled down works. He is a muralist from Bologna, Italy, painting pretty unlikely story book images on gargantuan structures across Europe and America. Some of his imaginings are too gruesome for me, but the rest is fascinating and marvelously grim.
