Rupert Blanchard

I saw recently a post on it’s nice that about Rupert Blanchard. We used to be neighbours. When I was a student I lived above his gallery, The M&R gallery on Kingsland Road, East London. Some weekends there would be stacks of old school chairs in the yard, and bits of this and bits of that and some of these bits would move into our home. Rupert would fix things, and I think he even built the compartments in our warehouse and turned it into a living space.

So anyway, since I last saw him, he has turned his vintage collections into fantastic furniture. I love these random drawers. And it’s all on show at Elemental in Spitalfields.

  1. I love those drawers…a guy in LA hand makes similar ones, but they are quite pricey.
